Freewheelin' Franklin

Freewheelin’ Franklin-What would happen if Lou Reed would’ve kept his infamous Speed habit (the days of the Factory and Warhol)? Well, he would sound a helluva lot like Johnny Thunders! But that’s not who were talkin’ about now! Who were talkin’ about is Freewheelin’ Franklin (Tübingen, Germany). His first release is a 7-inch on Middle Class Pig, and it’s recommended for fans of late ‘70s New York Punk. Back in the day when Punk was Punk and green Mohawks didn’t exist.  Back then, Punk had nothing to do with panhandling, stinky, ugly dogs, or warm beer—Punk was simply energetic Rock n’ Roll. That’s Freewheelin’ Franklin! The song featured on this page „Dial 3412" is Punk Rock. The flipside of the „Time Tunnel 62 Revisited" 7-inch is called „Hey Babe", and it’s powerfully poppy.
