THE GIRLS Punk's not dead, it just smells funny. If you're into energetic Rock'n'Roll from the land of Jesus, Moses and Gene Simmons - look no further. It's as if The Rolling Stones, PJ Harvey, Television, The Undertones and The Pretenders all had sex and THE GIRLS are their mutated love child. At times melodic, at times fast and loud, but always sure to kick an ass or two, THE GIRLS are soon to become your own private favorite new band. With eclectic references to Punk, New Wave, Metal, '60s Garage and '70s Hard Rock, THE GIRLS feel like a breath of fresh air as apposed to other bands, that suck. . . This is the most recent band on Middle Class Pig, and our Premiere met these talented and warped musicians while living in Tel Aviv two years ago. And, as a matter of fact, they toured Europe in May of 2007 (Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France). It was their first time out, and, dammit, it all went really well. A few cuts and scrapes, a few scratches on the van, forgetting to pay at gas stations, a few visits to the doctor, and speeding ticket here and there were among the few unpleasant things that happened. In comparison to other Middle Class Pig tours, this was a piece of cake. At first, the band thought they might be too "nerdy" to be on this label. In actuality, they were most professional band on the road so far.
Talk to the Pervet Available on CD or on clear, see-through vinyl . . . Brace yourself for this band! Never has there been a collection of such talented and dynamic musicians on this label--or on any other label for that matter. And, they rock. Don't miss them next time--wherever you are. http://www.myspace.com/thegirls
